Getting to Backnang: How do you reach Backnang by public transport?
Backnang has a railway station and can be reached using the regional trains of Deutsche Bahn and the suburban railway of the Stuttgart Transport and Tariff Authority (VVS). Two suburban railway lines connect Backnang to Stuttgart: Line S3 runs from Stuttgart Airport, through Stuttgart city centre and directly on to Backnang, whilst line S4 runs from Stuttgart city centre to Backnang via Ludwigsburg. Backnang can also be reached easily via the A81 motorway, using the Mundelsheim exit. It is about 15 minutes' drive from the centre of Backnang to the motorway.
